Organic Golden Monkey Paw is a USDA certified organic, black tea made from the very young leaves and bud of new season growth. It originates from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province, China. With the same careful process as White Monkey Paw green tea, the tea leaves are hand picked with an artistic process to preserve the tea leaf form and then delicately steamed and dried. The leaves are then allowed a fermentation process which brings out the beautiful black and gold colors. These perfect, prized tea leaves in our California Tea House collection resemble a monkey’s paw, hence the name. Buy organic golden monkey paw with our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Enjoy the art of one of our finest black teas with approximately 1 heaping teaspoon of tea to each cup of mineral or filtered water. Steep up to 4 minutes in almost boiling water.

Monkey Paw has to be one of the best teas out there. I could live on this stuff.

Peppery, malty, chocolatey. Everything I want from this style of tea. It gets expensive quickly, especially if you steep it with the recommended amount of leaf, but I just don’t care. It’s so good that when you’re drinking it, you don’t even think about the fact that you might not be able to pay the electricity bill this month.

Remember this one fondly. Honey-, raisin-like sugar going on. Very nice!

This tea brews into a lovely deep gold color. It is a nice bold tea that will stand up to milk and sugar well. But the leaves are so beautiful, I almost don’t want to brew it up! I could have a jar of this tea on my shelf just for its beauty!

Very mellow black tea. Seems less tannic than many, one of the few black teas I would consider drinking without milk.

Very smooth and mild. I usually prefer a stronger, although not overly strong. I have had teas that taste more like coffee and that is not very satisfying for me. rnThis does get a delightfully mild oat like taste to me. I find it very enjoyable for a late morning tea or possibly a nice after dinner.
