How do you travel with loose leaf tea?

I've almost decided that you can't travel with loose leaf tea until I find a good method or product to use to keep the tea from getting crushed. I don't believe in using tea tins either since they take up so much room. Maybe I'll just make sure whomever or wherever I'm visiting is stocked with good tea!

I carry it in my handbag. It never gets crushed. I carry tea pot and cups in my handbag as well. Never had any problems.

Bag, you mean, tea in tea bags or you have a special bag for carrying tea? I saw small pouches for carrying tea and teaware. Are they helpful?
